| Weather
was nice and there were a few flyers like Johannes and new member Carl
T. Chris L. filled in for the Secretary and discussion
included what to do with the Building Contest as the weather was not
that great on Opening Day. It was decided to extend the Building
Contest till the Drop Contest in October. This way more members
may build and enter their planes. Carl G. brought some donated
new planes including a trainer and a small warbird both
RTF. It was agreed to use the trainer for instructing new
pilots and to offer the small warbird as a prize for the winner of the
Bomb Drop Contest. Carl T. offered to take the trainer home and
figure out how the electronics work and get it ready for flying. |

Weather
held out with rain in the forecast but we were able to get the meeting
in. Matt
was the only flyer and took advantage of one of the two new starting
stands designed by Jim Meighan. Special thanks was also given to
the team build by Brian, Pat, and Irwin. Discussion included the
successful
Warbird and Other Fun-Fly Event as well as the upcoming Opening Day
Event scheduled for this Sunday. There were also two new
Members (Carl and James) to welcome to the club.
