Fly One for Free
An Introductory Flight Program for the Public
Have you ever wanted to fly? Ever wanted to hold the stick in your hand and see the plane respond to your every move? Well, here's your chance. Without spending a dime.
The Mercer County Radio Control Society, in cooperation with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), has established an Introductory Pilot Program. Periodically during the summer and fall, we have Intro Pilot nights at our field near Imlaystown, NJ. On those evenings, experienced flight instructors, specially designated by the AMA, will teach you the basics of radio-controlled flight. Then, flying with dual controls and an instructor, you will take the controls of one of our training airplanes. The instructor will take off and put the plane into level flight. Then he'll hand the controls over to you and you'll be flying.
And the best part is that it's free. The Mercer County club will supply the model and the fuel. All you need to do is let us know you're coming.
So, if you'd like to try it, send an email to FlightSchool@mcrcs.com and we'll let you know when the next Intro Night is. It's as easy as that.
